Canton Trail Riders Assoc., Inc. has much more to offer than it's name implies!

Not only do we have Trail Rides in April & October, but we also have Play Days from March through August and a special Halloween Play Day just for fun, an additional October Jackpot Barrel Race and we play hos to several B.I.T. Barrel Races throughout the year.

Our Play Day series is open to all ages, male or female, and consists of 11 points play days.  Top winners in each division (excluding lead line) are awarded a trophy saddle, while all season long competitors are awarded a trophy belt buckle.  Each play day consists of three events (which vary each time, with the exception of cloverleaf barrels, which is the last event of every play day.)  Points are awarded to 2st - 6th places in each event.  There is an age division for everyone, including a Lead Line division for those who are not quite ready to take hold of the reins just yet.

Our Family membership is only $30.00 (unlimited family members) and an individual membership (18 or over) is only $25.00.  Play Day, events are $4.00 each for members and $5.00 for non-members.  (Points may only be accumulated with a paid membership.)

During the Annual Van Zandt County Fair we will host 3 nights of action packed rodeos: a Christian Family Fun Night featuring a Youth Rodeo, a Youth Bull Rodeo, and a Ranch Rodeo. You won't want to miss out on this exciting annual event.  Check our calendar for times.

Canton Trail Riders is committed to bringing the best of the best that rodeo has to offer each June as it hosts an annual P.R.C.A. Rodeo.  This year we will kick things off with a Ranch Rodeo on Thursday, June 10th, followed by P.R.C.A. rodeo action on both Friday and Saturday nights.

The spotlight turns to local talent as Zeke Burns Arena sets the stage for home grown cowboys and cowgirls to show their stuff in our annual Poorboy Rodeo to be held July 8 - 10.  Check out our calendar for more information.

Zeke Burns Arena is also the venue for various other events including 4-H activities, equestrian drill team practices and more.  For more information on the use of our facilities, please contact us.
